With an external hard drive connected, which itself is 3.0 compatible, I was only getting 3 mpbs/ second download, and even less on the upload

After completing installing a external hard drive and making it available to me outside of the network all parental controls quit working.

Simply put, if you want to use your own external hard drive for "cloud" purposes look elsewhere

WiFi reception in the home is much stronger than with the previous D-Link 655 it replaced (D-Link 655 WiFi radio failed after 4 1/2 years of about 16 hours operation every day).
