The range on this thing is phenomenal to what I used to have

I had been researching mesh networks, but decided to get a cheaper range extender first.

Set-up is easy, uptime is great, mobile app is useful, good range, and it's fast

Easy to install, easy to manage using an app on your smartphone, very stable in environment where there are a lot of competing WiFi networks, and great range.

I had a Netgear that extended the range but killed the throughput tremendously.

You can setup only one!Port Forwarding and DHCP reservations are configurable but sadly the port forwarding does not support ranges and port forward rules cannot be edited once created

If you have a good router in your home, maybe this product could be not exceeding the cover range in an expressive way, on the other hand, if you have a small router, this product is a good option

The first 6 hours it read ok signal but after about 12 it was all in the great range

It installed in 10 minutes, solid even speeds, great range, and nice APP to control features

I decided to purchase three Google units and I now get a strong signal in every corner of the house, as well as in the backyard.

Extremely disappointed as I thought buying something from Google would mean a higher level of services.

My internet experience is now as good as if I was connected to the modem directly using an Ethernet cable

The controller App [Google WiFi] is very intuitive and helps you to set up a guest network as well as to manage the devices on your network

I suspect the speed issue is due to the mesh using WiFi for it's backhaul channel as well as to service clients.

The 'tech support' is more of a FAQ section, and it kept referring me back to the same answer over and over...if google's goal is to make their customers frustrated, they've succeeded.. as much as i'd want to recommend this product, in good conscience, I can't, mainly due to the crappy customer service, which was a joke..

I contacted google support and after months of troubleshooting they refuse to refund as it is past the 30 day return now, but was not when I initially reported the problem to Google

With the airport on my old 150 speed i would get 30 in the master so its defiantly an upgrade as i have gained 150 mbps with the new ISP and Wifi router, but i expected more as the app from google shows great connectivity between all the points, its supposed to support 850mbps on 5g

If the client connects to 2.4G with a strong signal, it will never ever switch back to 5G. 2.4G inherently is noisy and the data rate will be limited

Thru my old extender, the best I was getting over 2.4g was 35 mbs.
