Google WiFi system, 3-Pack - Router replacement for whole home coverage (NLS-1304-25)

    • A mesh network based WiFi system seemed like a good thing to try and of course this was highly rated and recommended
    • , I can't believe how great things are working now.
    • I love this little thing.
    • I blamed my ISP (always the easiest thing to do) but decided to swap out my highly-reviewed router with this Google thing to see how many of my problems (if any) were caused my old router
    • And the strangest thing was as I would restart the router by disconnecting, resetting up the wifi point, and reconnecting the network, there might be a couple different error messages after that 15-20min of working appropriately
    • I’ll start with; this thing is amazing!
    • That may not sound like a bad thing, but for someone that really likes to customize and change things around it really leaves a lot to be desired.
    • So don’t count on all the great things that this program offers long term for a $300 system.
    • The thing is so easy to setup with iPad app.
    • The nice thing is that at all times the app provided clear and easy to understand instructions, including recommending contacting my internet provider (and what to say to them) when the standard setup was not successful (and I went through it twice, unplugging both the modem and the wifi router each time and for the specified lengths of time).Once fully setup, the app automatically downloaded the latest software from Google and reset itself, taking perhaps 5 minutes altogether
    • This could be a good thing for some and that was indeed one reason why I purchased this system (because my wife wanted something that she could fix when I was
    • I want to smash these things
    • the reason I tried this is that at times things would be jerky especially on my Plex acct, .and also when I have streamed from my computer there would be problems with judders and gaucheness
    • The entire thing was super easy to setup and solved the problem I was having
    • Some bad things
    • Only thing I don’t like is, that there big.
    • So far this thing is amazing
    • Good things do come in small packages
    • App is a bit on the basic side but that is a good thing for most users
    • This thing looks nice
    • Love this thing.
    • Every thing works great except for one very minor annoyance
    • A good customer service is all the good thing I can say
    • We have never been able to do things like streaming on the tv and our internet access through the house was hit or miss
    • This thing is amazing
    • Once set up through the very simple app process, this thing is very fast and has an outstanding signal
    • you need to run this thing is, for Apple people, only available on iOS devices--so not on my MacBook
    • I love this thing and allows me to manage my WiFi effectively
    • it''s a waste of money and unless i find away that this thing will allow me to accomplish my original goal...dump my cable/internet
    • This thing works even better than I expected.
    • It's this easiest thing ever.
    • Perhaps the worst thing about google wifi is one has no access to a detailed log of these event for trouble-shooting purposes
    • All the good things I mentioned apply to these as well
    • Never could get wifi in the garage and the thing is amazing the garage has concrete walls and roof and i have full bars
    • This thing helped improve the wifi connection throughout my house
    • and I love this thing
    • But the important thing is it goes by quickly under five minutes for each
    • Love this thing, all the little controls in the app are cool
    • And these things aren't cheap
    • I had heard a lot of great things about the Google Wi-fi system, so I thought I would try it
    • Removing options for power users is the worst thing a company could do
    • The best thing is that
    • I love this thing and the App
    • Most annoying thing with ASUS was that I had 3 different WiFi networks all using same credentials yet they never worked correctly, some devices would not switch properly others would just refused to jump from one to another etc.
    • Best thing I ever bought to fix our wi-if issues!!!
    • I love this thing, although I wish I could reboot it or enable the guest network with my Google Home speaker
    • I didn't think things could get worse from the days of using the extremely cheap router I replaced with
    • I love this thing.
    • Ghz even though this channel broadcasts both (good thing)-Simple to setup and no settings to tinker with-Can adjust the ambient light on the physical puck per unit
    • The reason why this is such a good thing is that it halfs the need for cabling
    • I can’t say enough good things
    • I can't vouch for how it compares to other mesh routers, but setup was the easiest tech thing I think I've ever done (definitely better than all prior Netgear and Belkin experiences)
    • I seriously can't say enough good things about this system
    • But One bad thing is you cannot connect your wireless devices wirelessly, like with most routers
    • Best thing I ever did for my network sting signal from the basement to the second floor and out by the pool or in the garage
    • Best thing ever to control children's internet access
    • The units do their job quietly and continuously, and I don't have to think about them at all, which is a good thing.
    • ” Uggg - wrestling with IT was the last thing I felt like doing after a long day’s work
    • Had read great things about this router before purchasing
    • The odd thing is that the same compliment of computing is being wasted on the other pods acting as satellites
    • While I'm happy with the product for all other aspects, this one thing is enough of an issue that I'm putting it back in the box, and putting the box in my closet because I can't return it at this point.
    • You can also do all sorts of crazy things like set times for things or drop something off your network.
    • and each new software update was either a blessing or a curse making things better or worse.
    • So I do a full factory reset by holding in the button on the router, and start the whole process over, and finally get the damn thing set up, and it has a network name, and then I remove the AirPort from the equation, and it works
    • THIS THING IS AMAZING
    • One potentially annoying thing is the blue light that indicates the unit is connected to your WiFi system
    • These things are fantastic.
    • This thing is way better than the power plugs and wifi extenders i used previously to extend the signal strength but compromised on the speed
    • This thing has made my life soooo much easier
    • This thing is excellent!
    • Added to my Router, no need to Disrupt a Thing.
    • And the most important thing - it just works
    • Not the fastest thing in the world but easy to set up and works decent.
    • ROUTER can't be any good more than this thing feels like Ethernet connected to device 100% signal strength of the connection.
    • The best thing about these routers is that you can create a mesh network if your living space is more than 1500sq ft
    • I blamed my ISP (always the easiest thing to do) but decided to swap out my highly-reviewed router with this Google thing to see how many of my problems (if any) were caused my old router
    • just works!Other cool thing is it is a dual band router (2.4 and 5g
    • This thing still died on me
    • This thing is amazing
    • Just set this up, and it was the easiest thing ever
    • the more I appreciate things that just work
    • There is no way to select 2.4ghz or 5ghz, that selection is made by google "smart" algorithm (hint: is not smart at all), so things like streaming are not possible with this, so basically worthless
    • Its one thing to simplify and dumb down the setup and experience over the app, but another thing to completely eliminate power user tools, like access to detailed log files or even the ability to turn on detailed log files.
    • With kids getting addicted to screens and devices now, this is the perfect thing
    • I’m just not sure what I should do next to avoid the inevitable next thing I’ll be asked to do.
    • Absolutely the best wifi extender we have ever used, we have spend hundreds on other products and they would either put out week or inconsistent signals, or the worst when you have to stop everything to go unplug the stupid things over and over
    • Best thing I have bought for my internet devices!!!
    • Unfortunately, as I was looking at alternatives in the same type of product, this does seem to be a common "feature" of these type of devices, and this is not a good thing at all, although perhaps some of the other products ARE better at trying to find uncluttered frequencies, I don't know, but this product is particularly bad at this.
    • This thing just works out of the box
    • When we get to the point that the only conclusion is that the Google system is faulty, the Google tech support starts to make me do things like move the WiFi points closer together or make sure there was a clear line of sight
    • These things work great and are super easy to configure.
    • These wifi extenders work excellent better than the xfinity modem that apparently does or its supposed do the same thing, I am able to get wifi in areas that I would have never been able to get wifi on
    • This is what happens when people don't read specs and put all their trust into Google to do the right thing
    • This thing was so simple to set up and it works great in my 1,300 sq
    • These things work so well
    • These things just work
    • These things worked amazing when first got them
    • Cannot reset this useless thing because YOU NEED
    • This thing works great
    • The most important thing to know about his product is the installation was exactly as easy as advertised.
    • Work great but things I didn't
    • This thing work great.
    • It’s a bit expensive, but good things usually are
    • These things are great
    • These things are amazing
    • Truly a gift from above, the router that was provided by internet service provide was not cutting it in my 5000+ SQFT home, never bothered with an extender as I always heard bad things
    • This is the best thing ever!!!!
    • Certainly simplifies things for anyone on my network.
    • The really great thing is that it was rediciusly easy to install
    • Not a good thing in my opinion since some of us have a fairly technical background
    • The weird thing is I click to test the network within the Google
    • Outstanding performance, easy setup, one important thing to know is that all the nodes must be nearby to the one that is connected to the modem, I expected the connection between them so you can have a wider area of coverage
    • Painless setup and things seem to be going well so far.
    • Depending on the need is the most important thing.
    • I can't really say a bad thing about it, it's an amazing product for the price
    • These things are awesome
    • The best thing is that I can troubleshoot via the app
    • The biggest bummer is that when they work, these things work really well and are super simple to set up
    • I have no negative things to say about this system if you are thinking of buying you should
    • n’t disturb your Netflix
    • I absolutely love the Google WiFi system!I needed to solve a problem where my WiFi router located in the basement wasn’t t giving me strong enough signal throughout the house (1st floor, 2nd floor, and attic), specially if I had the basement door closed
    • I spent over an hour working with both Google support and AT&T support and each of them blame the other one
    • n’t miss them at all.
    • n’t work right away
    • n’t had any issues my Internet since I fixed the router issue in January
    • n’t work very well
    • n’t know whether that works or not.
    • Chatted with both Google wifi support and AT&T isp support
    • n’t lose a beat
    • well I
    • it did not work as i though it would.
    • wifi worked better in a remote areaI cant say there is anything I don't like I about it
    • I'm not sure why this wifi stopped working as I
    • 802.11a/b/g/n/ac supported, the latest IEEE specification for wireless systems that is currently available
    • With the airport on my old 150 speed i would get 30 in the master so its defiantly an upgrade as i have gained 150 mbps with the new ISP and Wifi router, but i expected more as the app from google shows great connectivity between all the points, its supposed to support 850mbps on 5g
    • If the client connects to 2.4G with a strong signal, it will never ever switch back to 5G. 2.4G inherently is noisy and the data rate will be limited
    • Thru my old extender, the best I was getting over 2.4g was 35 mbs.
