In a nutshell here is what I found (and it goes for both devices):- extremely difficult to pair with a phone (i use iPhone)- regularly drops bluetooth connection with phone (once connection is made)- even at modest distances (0.5 miles and under), in light foliage, with line-of-sight conditions, the devices failed (90% of the time) to connect and pass information- the app interface is problematic and not intuitive (requires a lot of time to figure out and is not user friendly)- the limited downloadable maps (an add on with the Plus subscription) are often dropped and require a re-download- according to the user manual, the transceivers are very sensitive to external electromagnetic fields (such as what the human body might generate) and should not be placed in close proximity to the body (ie. in a pocket)

This device is genius

Really liked the device overall and plan to continue using at future festivals!

GoTenna seemed like an excellent fit....until I tried not just their original transceiver but the new Mesh device as well.
