Frustrating and hard races can be ok, but they should be optional races that do not hinder reaching major portions of the game

There are only two reasons I can think of for this decision: 1) The developer got sick of complaints of idiots buying useless, golf-cart-like cars with their initial credits, that they decided to force you to buy a car that will guarantee the ability to win your first few races, and 2)Honda dished out a bunch of money to make it happen

As you move along, "goodies" unlock, being liberally defined as "one make races" back again from GT4, where you buy the car, trundle around like a taxicab against similar cars, where you win 3 minute races by 30 seconds

By far the worst racing game I've played.

Where is that sense of accomplishment when talent gets you to win the race, not a car that outpaces the competition (not even performance limitations, which I am glad they introduced from GT4, make races feel competitive)
