Huge Improvements: The new car physics are phenomenal, and for those that don't notice it, take all the aids off and try racing with a rear wheel car on Sports Hard tires
-
So for ALL of the races I have seen so far, the BEST tires you can use is racing hard
-
this is the worst game of the series even though they fixed the suspension and tires it does not make a difference from what we were playing before I played it for about 5 minutes lost interest and started playing gta 5 I was excited and waited all year for this
-
- slightly better sounds (tires, helps with knowing how hard you are pushing the car) - more tracks - a few new cars (not all are amazing as they lead) - better lighting in game - more custimizations (wheels) - better menu - so far the online races, aren't races, but rather single player time trial with friend lines
-
Apparently they really wanted to showcase how totally lame, totally lame tires function
-
Realistic behaving tires are fine and good, but it is NO FUN to be forced to drive on lame tires while trying to catch up to cars that were a half a lap ahead of you, when the race began.

-
Much more realistic tire grip, and driving feels more realistic
-
some builds of cars will be impossible just because the weird tire model causes problems)
-
One example: in GT5, the 'racing soft' tires were more 'grippy', which turned some of the 60's muscle cars into super-responsive drivers, taking corners on 2 wheels
-
Occasionally, in the cases where the tires might leave the ground, it's like it breaks some stiction rule, and pops the tire off the ground like it was an A-Team stunt
-
You have to learn how to handle a car with cold tires and how to adjust to different compounds

The recommended cars are very useful and point caps keep you from slaughtering early races with super sticky race tires
-
The actual car simulations are pretty good, but for ever positive (cars move under braking very realistically) there's a corresponding negative (tires overheat and cool off way too
-
The tire squeal is WAAAAY too loud, the engine noises (that were a highlight of the GT5
