Many false alarms or leaves, trees or ??

Falling leaves and snow seem to set it off

I place mine about 250 feet from receiver, great reception, it works fine, car, bike, kids and my dog will trigger the sound, we just started Fall so a few leaves will also start the unit but not as much

Falling leaves, birds, and deer will set it off.

Made sure nothing was setting off the alarm - no leaves, spiders, etc

Apparently, it was being tripped when wind would blow the leaves of a nearby tree that was within detection range

Never worked as it was supposed to

My driveway is over a 1/4 mile long and it is not straight and is wooded as well, the sensor is about 800 feet away from the receiver and works as it should.

I will be ordering another base unit so that I can hear the alarm when I am in the garage as well as in the house.

I am going to return it, disappointed as I expected it to be much better.

Key feature for me is ability to wire receiver to a smartthings sensor so from the driveway alarm I can trigger lights, siren, etc. as well as send a text message using my smartthings hub, connected zwave devices, and smartthings app
