Guitar Hero II is a really fun game that has great new features compared to Guitar Hero I. Guitar Hero II is the best game ever, and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that loves to have a great time.

The guitar itself is pretty cool, especially the whammy bar which lets you distort the sound on longer notes

The player progresses from easy to hard and gets the chance to "win" fancier guitars, choose the name of his band, etc

First is the cooperative mode which is a two player mode that allows one player to play the lead guitar and the other player to play either the bass or the rhythm guitar (depending on the song)

In this mode, both players play the full lead guitar track on the same difficulty

GUITAR HERO II is awesome, but they made a lot of the hidden songs impossible to do

The guitar looks like a real "mini" guitar with colored buttons for frets.

If you love music, if you love Guitar Heros I, this is a game for you.

Also the purchasable songs are as blah as it was in the first game, with the exception of Strogbad's "Trogdor the burninator" with enhanced guitar solo

Oh before I forget, make sure you love guitar solos, because all the songs emphasize the guitars (the vocals are turned down so that the guitar is heard louder than the vocals/ other instruments) and some heavy metal songs are basically all guitar

If you get a certain amount of notes correct, it puts you into Rock Star mode and you have to move the guitar around like a rock star.

The first time I played this game I was amazed how much it felt like playing the real guitar, plus the music was great

Both of them love guitar and have always wanted to learn to play and both would love a real electric guitar, but with our busy schedules, finding time for my husband to teach them how to play was a challenge.

Depending on the song, one player can play the lead guitar while the other can play bass or rhythm guitar

loved guitar hero 1, and # 2 makes vast improvements in the practice and cooperative modes, but the songlist . .

I recommend this game and guitar for anyone that is up for a challenge.

First of all, this is a wonderful game, awesome tracks, awesome guitars, awesome venues, and awesome characters

The practice mode is great to learn the patterns of difficult guitar solos.

The game itself has lots of unlockables such as costumes, bonus songs, guitars, skins, etc

I bought one for my nephew, who plays a bit of guitar, and one for my son, who loves guitar, but not quite enough to practice it.

Hell, I've even given this game to good guitar players, and they've had a blast with it, so almost anyone can enjoy GHII

Got the guitar in time however was missing the strap.

Guitar hero II is nothing short of amazing, and I would recommend anyone who is in question of purchasing this game to stop wasting time, man up, and order this game as soon as possible.

Plus, you can buy new guitars and guitar finishes and unlock and play about twenty songs from little-known bands with great guitar parts (check out "Elephant Bones").What a great game

Only the lead guitar is available to be played in this mode

But the songs aren't quite as good as in the first one, unless you're a fan of more trendy titles.

My kids are 7 & 12 and they love it as much as we do
