It works fine with cable in a bedroom as an extra television, so that's something to consider.

This television is great, we are using it in the kitchen everyday to replace another.

I think this is an excellent television if used as a spare, or in a child's bedroom.

There is a separate pouch for the 'brick' AC adapter though I would recommend additional protection between the two compartments with the LCD screen facing IN, not out.(Updated: corrected A/V settings & added case recomendation)

The internal battery is great - we can stay informed during power outages.

Many of the other reviews have hit the high point: great picture (resolution is equivalent to almost 1080p on a 19" set, I don't understand the complaints here!), great stand, additional built in stand, tuner tunes HD channels quickly (over twice as fast as my 26" Insignia LCD), battery powered if you need it, rubberized finish for a little extra protection, video input (nonstandard connector, but cable supplied)

The price was half of the cost compared to other stores, and the picture quality is exceptional.

Remember, I'm talking about the PHYSICAL channel number, not the virtual number they insist to use, which in most cases, is NOT the same!Hooking this up to an decent outdoor antenna under known conditions, this tuner receives as good as most any other TV

To set up both tuner modes, connect it to a good antenna, put the TV into AIR mode and run a scan the OTA channels

not great sounds comes out of those little speakers but if you plug-in a decent set of stereo headphones, you can get good sound

When i got this in the mail, I was very pleased on the size and the picture quality that I expected in a small tv and the set up was very easy

Be warned, the price may be cheap, but it could well be worthless

After less than a year, half of them or now flickering white screens with a scratchy sound

It is a nice clear large screen, but do notget more than 2 channels

The clarity of the screen puts larger screens to same

The screen on the new 10.2" is not capable of being adjusted as dark as that on the older Haier.

Had to keep moving around to get ANY stations, then was only able to get 3 weird channels (and that was with a separate heavy duty antenna!).

I can disable any unwanted channels from the "Favorites" list by unchecking them in the setup submenu and the TV will not tune to them when i'm hitting the CH+/CH- keys, but if i enter the direct channel number on the remote the TV will tune to that "disabled" channel

When I connected it to my houses's rooftop antenna, the TV picked up an amazing 30 channels and the picture quality was excellent - very nice fluid motion

Different channels look more accurate than others too
