When I saw that it also cooks hot cereal, my eyes almost bulged out of my head - lol

We are going to try the hot cereal function next since the cold weather months are bringing on the whole grain hot cereal breakfasts

I have not tried making hot cereal, but that is next on my "to-do" list.

I love the ability to have a delay start time for hot cereal in the morning.

So far she's used it for hot cereal,rice,soups, and even browned ground beef and made hamburger patties--All with great success.

For example to cook overnight oatmeal (essentially delaying the cooking process 8 hours) you have to hit the select multiple times to get to "hot cereal", hit the delay button and quickly calculate the number of hours you want to delay it, then hit the cook button numerous times to get it to the right number of cooking minutes-which you won't know unless you've memorized the various cooking charts in the direction book

Works great but the buttons have to much resistance causing you to move the unit when you press themIt does cook rice and hot cereal great though.

The hot cereal feature works really well and everything runs like I have come to expect from this brand.

At 35 min. its just long enough to burn to the bottom of the non-stick pot. I suggest stirring every 5-10 min. while cooking.3) No way to add a few more minutes without starting the cycle all over again.Not what I wanted.4) The "hot cereals" and ""heat/simmer" buttons do exactly the same thing according to the manual
