Any boxed rice dish that cooks on the stove, I put in here and it does excellent job cooking.

Other than that, I DO recommend the unit because it does a nice job cooking and is very easy to clean.

Not as good as cooked rice directly from the stove.. it's a little sticky (basmati rice that's supposed to be light and fluffy)

The directions that come with it are a little lacking unless you are cooking 7 cups of rice, which I do not, but once I figured out how much water to add for 2 cups of rice, it turns out perfect every time.
