I was a little hesitant to try this when I saw other reviews about the filters breaking.

By making a 1/2" fold along the seam of a #2 Melitta filter, I have had no problem with the filter breaking

The people posting that the filter breaks and grounds get in the cup, or that you need a special size filter just don't know what they are doing
