I can make two cups as we do not like real strong coffee (I use one level Hario scoop per 12 oz. of water - which seems to be about half the coffee others recommend); therefore, the Size 02 just holds my two scoops of coffee and after a 30 second blooming period, I stir the grounds then use the slow circular pour method with a glass Pyrex measuring cup being careful not to pour above the top of the grounds (water at 198-200 degrees).

If you purchase this don't forget you need to also purchase the paper filters that go with it in the correct size.

You need to have actual Hario filters and the right size for this to brew coffee at all

I like the small size, and I purchased this for my office so that I can make single cups

the size is perfect and it came with a spoon measurement which will come in handy

Also, because it seems to drain more quickly than Chemex and probably Kalita Wave, you can feel free to experiment with slightly finer grind sizes.

My biggest complaint is the size.

The smaller size (01 vs 02) is easier to use when only brewing a large mug of coffee.

I highly recommend it, I have the bigger size too for more coffee

Great to brew larger batch’s ... easily big enough to brew 60-150 g of coffee.
