An exceptional receiver with plenty of power and endless options

If you have a universal remote you like and you don't need component video connections then by all means, this is a great receiver.

It is a great receiver, but after only a few months of light use it's going straight to Sleep mode upon power up.

I have to say the Sony is a much better receiver from all points of view (great sound, great UI, more power, WiFi, 8 HDMI).HK 1710 is an average receiver, expensive for that price ($550).

Absolutely recommend this receiver.

i do think it sounds much better at everyday volume better sub bass control on movies.. great receiver for the 500.00 price range..
