  • I still have the Harman Kardon 330c that I purchased about 46 years ago in my office and it still works fine
  • The sound (through mid-90s KEF Reference Model One speakers) has all the warmth of classic Harman-Kardon, and a hefty 100 watts of high-current power meant I never broke the halfway mark on volume
  • he worked with Dolby Labs to get their landmark noise-reduction technology off the ground in the 1960s, acquired ownership of several prestigious companies like JBL speakers and Crown amplifiers, married U.S. Congresswoman Jane (Lakes) Harman, even worked as U.S. Under-secretary of Commerce in the Carter Administration.
  • When he left that post, his one goal was re-acquiring ownership of his beloved Harman-Kardon, which he finally did for the last time in 1985.

  • Sound Quality is Good but not as great as my pervious AVR 347 from few years back which sounded much clearer and had better sound punch.

Reviews around tech support (5.00 of 5)

  • Outsourced tech support, long hold times, unstable product, good sound
  • The IR port is not compatible with any IR extenders/receiver on amazon, I call tech support for help and the suggested IR receiver did not work
  • Tech support, use the web site when you need help, it easier

Reviews around state (5.00 of 5)

  • This is the cleanest sounding solid state amp I've heard in
  • I think there are serious technology issues with this units solid state vs transformer technology, the unit is very light weight, received a 1710 as a warranty replacement for a 1700

Reviews around quality (4.26 of 5)

  • No component video inputs (YPP): This will be particularly relevant to people with older HD capable components like various X-box 360s, and to people who have very long cable runs between their receiver and TV (HDMI may lose significant quality on longer runs, whereas good analog cables can run for 200 feet without loss.)
  • The sound quality is amazing, remote control is very simple ot use
