Otherwise this is a great mute

This mute was rendered essentially useless by the manufacturer's use of very thin cork, and will not seat tightly in any of the 4

While I would easily recommend this mute to any serious trumpet player, I will also caution about the weight differential.

Both have a nice traditional harmon mute 'bite' and edge to the sound

Summary: Both mutes are made well and have a nice sound

Harmon mutes are more flexible than the Cleartone, and no other mute duplicates its distinctive sound.

This mute is not cheap.
