Hohner M2009BX-C Harmonica, Key of C

    • but truthfully they are starting to price me out of being able to enjoy playing music with all their harps
    • Overblows are easy, and overall, the high keys play well, though not quite as easy as the Seydels.
    • But if you're looking for your first harp, make it easy on yourself and ante up for a quality harp that you'll enjoy playing on more - you'll spend more time with a good harp, and thus learn faster.
    • This harmonica is more responsive than other very good harmonicas that I have played
    • Harmonica M2009 A] is the finest harp I've played in 30 years of blues playing
    • The Seydels are flat out the most comfortable harmonica I have ever played.
    • Only thing to be careful of is playing too enthusiastically, since they are more airtight, heavy playing can cause reeds to fail sooner than lower end, less efficient harps
    • The second and third draw reeds are gapped way too wide, and playing in the lower notes is impossible without closing them down some to get reasonable playing responce.
    • The harp played every note nice and clear and loud!!AMAZING
    • Great feel while playing and simple to clean.
    • The combs are also very sharp and have hard edges which can actually be very rough on your tongue and inside of the mouth if played too long.
    • I have my dads Marine Band from the 60's, and its still in somewhat decent playing order
    • This is easily the best harmonica I have played, certainly superior to the original marine band, the special 20, and the Lee Oskar line
    • , I have always loved Playing the Golden Melody, it is a great, very Ergonomic, Great Tone, fast playing, (Very Good Scale 6)Lee Oskars are also in the very good category, but!!
    • The Seydel Session Low F has a more mellow sound, perfect for slow, Delta Blues style acoustic playing.
    • Much more airtight than lower end Hohners, allowing for very sweet, warm tone at low volumes for acoustic blues, while allowing you to generate significantly more volume efficiently so you can keep up when the band gets rocking without wearing yourself out--important when you're singing lead while playing
