Once I relieved all of the (MANY) sharp edges and corners, it played very well, and sounds great

Had to burnish the sharp edges, which was not easy, since this model is held together with nails instead of screws, and is almost impossible for a lay-person to disassemble easily

The sound of the Marine Band is good but the brass reed plates are exposed on the front of the instrument and have a sharp enough edge to cut you if you are not careful.

And when taking down those sharp edges/corners, extreme care must be taken that no filings foul the reeds
