    Hohner Piedmont Blues Harmonica Set

    • The reeds are a little stiff when they arrive, which is actually a sign of good quality
    • They are actually harder to play than better quality harps because of the plastic parts that flex too much, and the loose reeds and air holes that require more air than, say, a Marine Band, or Big River harp
    • The cases are made of plastic and the reeds are not responsive.
    • The reeds were soft, (easy to play)
    • The very next day after the gig though, it would be time to go and get a better replacement for the harp you blew out (or order a replaceable reed if your harmonica is one that you can do this
    • Had to return due to dead reeds in at least two of the harps.
    • They are not very good quality and have dead reeds
    • The reeds aren't all quite on pitch, and they aren't for hard playing, but again, good for the price.
    • the covers are put over the read plated and serve several functions including amplifying the sound, creating a tight seal across the harmonica to conserve your breath, and protecting the reeds
    • One had a bad reed in it from the get go.
    • I believe the reed was damaged as I couldn't get any sound from it at all
    • I don't know if reed thinness (chance of breaking a reed) is a big issue though since the reed gaps are wide enough to drive a truck through causing a lot more breath required to do anything or make any noise, but less stress on reeds when bending
    • These harps are neither air tight nor do they have very friendly reeds
    • but I decided to try the Bb harp when my Marine Band Bb developed a bad reed
    • Some are not so good, with an occasional dead reed and/or a problem where the player has to work hard to get a good sound out of it
    • These babies are way too lightweight for serious play by anyone intermediate level or above, BUT they are a handy backup for those times you blow the middle reed on your A-key Marine Band in the middle of a gig
    • the cheap reeds it has sound worse then a plastic toy harmonica
    • There was only one harmonica in this whole set that didn't have a messed up reed
    • The reeds are a little weak, but I haven't busted one yet
    • The reeds are awful and it's impossible to get any decent volume on them at all
    • you'll love your original more expensive Harmonicas & may blow out a reed...
    • The reeds are a little weak, but I haven't busted one yet
    • After a month of moderate use three or four have blown out reeds
    • 3 of mine had broken reeds though
    • I realized I also love the keys E and
