I tried it with my Contigo travel mug since that is the only stainless steel mug I have, but the mug keeps my tea hot so well by itself that I couldn’t tell if the mug warmer was doing much

We drink a lot of tea while doing computer work, and this warmer is great for keeping my tea warm!

Some mugs work better than others (I have an oversized tea cup that doesn't work that well, probably because the base of the mug is small (where the heat is distributed from the warmer) but the surface area of the coffee is large and heat escapes through the surface area).
