This is a good, basic wifi thermostat that I used to replace a Motison wifi thermostat (which I do not recommend at all).As long as you have a 24V C-wire running from your furnace to your thermostat, installation is about as easy as it gets -- attach the mounting plate to the wall with 2 screws, hook up the color-coded wires and snap in the thermostat.

AC person said installation was easy

Installation was simple and trouble-free (we had an older thermostat but the "C" wire was already wired up from the HVAC unit)

That being said, the AC guy did say this is his typical experience with all wifi thermostats - installation easy - getting it to sync and connecting to computer/phone not so much.
