HooToo Wireless Travel Router, USB Port, High Performance- TripMate Nano (Not a Hotspot)

    • Windows networking feature is a bit odd.
    • The instructions are a bit vague, and the device's setup web page - although attractive and simple looking - is also a bit unclear about some settings - but it wasn't that hard to figure it out eventually
    • Most useful will be extending wifi into areas that a bit harder to reach such as my garage
    • A bit confusing to use.
    • This router does degrade your speed a bit
    • A little bit slow on speeds
    • I found the device fairly easy to use although the iPhone app was a bit difficult to operate at times
    • Might be a bit tricky due
    • This will have some practical applications for me, even though it will throttle my throughput a bit
    • The DLNA was a little bit annoying to work with
    • This is not an issue at home when you're just extending the range of your network, but I was a bit uncomfortable with this in the hotel scenario
    • So cool and a little bit of a hassle to set
    • Wireless N150 Travel Router (paid $17.90) - THE BEST VALUEThis is only slightly larger and heavier than the HooToo unit but it costs less, looks nicer, is a bit easier to configure, comes with an AC adapter and is the only one of the three units reviewed here that also includes a compact travel size Ethernet cable
    • I'm sure there may be some travel routers out there that are a bit more intuitive or easier to use
    • so no one even knows it's there and those who use t-mobile but suffer from bad reception(I work in an industrial area) we can now benefit from WiFi calling.
    • At home, i linked it with my 2T portable hard disk
