HooToo Wireless Travel Router, USB Port, High Performance- TripMate Nano (Not a Hotspot)

    • Due to my frequent travel schedule I would have to rely on hotel wifi network which is not always best in all rooms, if you get a room far from the wifi router your signal would be weak and it would be hard to work, connecting to VPN etc or even watch movies and stuff
    • Whether it's plugged in or not, no matter the location, it does not affect my ability to get wifi or improve the signal
    • Works great as a bridge between my larger router at home, the signal goes further than I thought it would, and it's a fast signal as well.
    • Unfortunately at about 40 feet away WiFi signal drops to one bar and the Nexus 7 disconnects itself and automatically switches to my house WiFi router which has much stronger signal
    • Good clear signal.
    • If you set the wifi up as an access point it will function just fine it is not as strong of a signal as some more expensive
    • This little guy is cute as a bug and serves nicely as a tiny portable router that can be used in a hotel or B&B to create a strong wireless signal from an in-room Ethernet line or by using it in wireless bridge mode
    • Very useful in areas of spotty coverage: by locating it an area with a stronger signal, all your devices can log into the HooToo router's private network from 15-25 feet away
    • Many places that provide "free WiFi" have a very weak signal, and/or a very slow router.
    • Works great as a bridge between my larger router at home, the signal goes further than I thought it would, and it's a fast signal as well.
    • The signal wasn't even that great anyway.
    • Very fast internet connection, and great signal strength
    • I've also used the router to boost an otherwise unreliable WiFi signal
    • I got this only for its repeater function, boosting a weak WiFi signal
    • It failed to boost WiFi signal.
    • This product does not have an extremely strong signal, which is not surprising considering how tiny it is.
    • Second, I use it as a repeater in my house to boost the wifi signal to get it around the furnace
    • This device allows for it, however the signal it gives off is so weak it doesn't connect to anything
    • I expected at close range for the signal to be pretty
    • Impressed by range of wireless signal 35 + feet and through a couple of walls and signal just starts to weaken
    • While the signal isn't strong, it works exactly like it's supposed to and allowed me to create an environment so they could continue business operations.
    • and now I have great signal.
    • Very tiny with a strong wifi signal
    • So I used a app to find the ideal signal in the room, put my travel router there, and now it broadcasts a personal network that I can use for all my devices
    • This does not seem to have quite as strong a signal as the TP-Link, of similar dimensions, also sold here on Amazon
    • This helps me a lot when there's a place for ethernet cable or even it has a strong connect to another wifi which mean this router could get you a better signal when the hotel wifi signal is below 3
    • I might even use it at home as a repeater for my kids as there rooms are too far from the router to get great signal strength.
    • Very small but has good signal and distance
    • if you're in a conference room with weak signal, and you put this thing right outside the door
    • As it stands it works well for situations like a hotel room, restaurant or Gogo, in situations where you have a strong WiFi signal that you want to connect to and then broadcast to other users who are closeby.
    • Tried using as a wireless extender to boost signal of another router but that didn't seem to work for me.
    • it more than sufficient for excellent signal strength anywhere a minivan
    • I bought it just to extend my in-house wi-fi to the far end of my house where I wasn't getting a good wifi signal.
    • But it actually boosted the signal
    • Range is almost non-existent (4 feet is a poor signal, 8 feet is NO signal) and any attempt to upgrade the firmware met with a "no space available".
    • If you put this in your left pocket, there's enough signal to reach devices in your right pocket
    • It seems to have a strong broadcast signal for nice range
    • I got this only for its repeater function, boosting a weak WiFi signal
    • If the signal isn't very good, I have to fiddle with the admin page a little and reboot occasionally
    • Because it sits in one location it maintains a better signal than if i were to connect all my individual devices.
    • I've also used the router to boost an otherwise unreliable WiFi signal
    • Strong signal, easy to set up, incredibly tiny, Micro USB powered
    • I did log into the router's setup screen, which was extremely easy, and change the network name and password, also easy, and all my devices are receiving a strong signal
    • Easy setup and strong signal
    • The signal was strong, and it easily kept up with three devices connecting at once or streaming a movie on a laptop.
    • I travel from time to time and almost all the inns has a very weak signal in their rooms
    • To my surprise there's even enough signal to reach things that aren't in any pockets at all.
    • Works fine, but don't expect a strong signal for more than a few feet or through multiple walls.
    • This product was purchased to create an access point off of my wireless router, for my living room area, since my wireless router is on the other side of the house, and the signal is weak.
    • I was thinking about adding a extender with outside antenna to lock in on weak signals.
    • I am using this item to get a strong signal within a container living space in Afghanistan.
    • I put this device in the room that had the best wireless signal and used it to extend the coverage
    • I bought it specifically to extend my wifi, and got it set up to do so, but the issue is that the farther away it is from the main wifi router, the weaker the signal is
    • Good unit bought the Ravpower File hub also and the file hub has a lot stronger wifi signal
    • Connects fast and easy with the app for Android, and strong signal.
    • Bad signal in my area and can use a wired connection to create my own WiFi
    • It can't connect to weak signals as well as my phone or
    • Bottom line, it works, but I would pay $10 more for a device with a much better user interface, more sensitivity and a stronger hotspot signal
    • ; it's tiny, has a good signal, and was easy to set up.
    • In my apartment I don't pay for wifi because there is a really strong signal for a Comcast hotspot
    • Provides a very strong, secure WiFi signal
    • Easy set up and usage, strong & stable signal strength
    • If WiFi was available with a strong signal in my room, there would be no reason for me to bridge this device in most scenarios.
    • Otherwise if you can get a strong wi-fi signal from the hotel, or want to share a wired (ethernet) connection from the hotel, the HT-TM02 works pretty good, was easy for me to configure, and runs for a long time even when powered from a portable charger such as the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X5RV14Y/
    • you're still left with pretty weak signal repeating from this
    • This served 2 purposes...it allowed me to put the TripMate where the signal was strongest (by the door) and improve the signal our devices used, and it allowed us to store the login for the TripMate and not have to each connect to the hotel wifi and have to each agree to their terms every day (only one device per day had to do this)
    • The transfer speed may not be great (< 2 MB/s) but should solve the purpose
    • has a pretty cool interface and works as
    • Used on an airplane (one that permits the use of WiFi) to exchange large documents with a coworker as well as in a hotel, so I could avoid constantly signing into their WiFi access point from multiple devices
    • Works as it should.
    • The Samba and DLNA servers are visible on BOTH the incoming connection as well as on the wifi network the HooToo generates
    • This little device, about the size of a saltine cracker, allows us to talk via skype as clear as if he were right here at home.
    • Kind of disappointing as that is why I bought this gadget was for that function
    • not as well as I would like
    • I have connected a hard drive to the TripMate Nano, and it works as it should
    • Small, portable (runs off usb), and works exactly as they say - and at current price, very affordable! Can use as Access Point (connect directly to it's router), or,as client (connect to your local lan via address, eg
    • It does take some configuration via the web interface, but that's painless as long as you remember to set the slide switch for wired or wireless (for the internet connection you want the device to use).
