But then again for the price it should be as this stuff is not inexpensive, but well work the expense.

You can clean contacts with the red, then remove it, then treat with the blue to get the best protection of already oxidized contacts, but in practice, the red alone works so well that it's extremely effective to simply clean and treat the contacts in one step using only the red.

use a small Dremel tool with brass brush to clean it off then spray with 99% rubbing alcohol and wipe down works good.
