but other then the bad black ink printing

the only one thing is that it is a little loud when printing but aside from that I would highly recommend for your basic printing needs and for the price.

It only worked if I was printing off my computer

I was already pretty unhappy with it because of the poor quality printing new year's postcards - the physical design of the paper feed means that it is not consistent in aligning small items like postcards, they came out with skewed layouts and looked bad

The basic functions of the printer work well -- scanning, printing -- but it is unbelievably frustrating how often I have to tinker and play around with the computer and printer to get it working again.

Very easy to set up, printing is excellent and scanning is easy to figure out.

I tried three pictures, all printed in red, bought a replacement color cartridge and it worked fine.

Worked fine as a home printer for 8 months, then it stopped printing with the black cartridge.

And sometimes it will stop printing half way through a page, I literally get the top half printed and the bottom half blank.

I have to admit that the scanning of color photos was excellent, and the re-printing of the color photos was excellent on special paper, but alas it does not print anymore.

The printing still works with few restarts and computer restart

Can not reset the top margin and everything prints right on the top edge of the paper.

From reviews I have read, not printing in black ink is a common problem with this model and HP SUPPORT WILL NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

However as I am entering my fifth year, it is slowly but surely starting to fail (RIP wireless printing :( )
