I have an HP Envy 4500 for several years, my scanner has quit working

The scanner is way too bright and you can't adjust brightness in software

scanner never worked, ok

So now have a worthless printer/scanner/copier

Still works as scanner perfectly and will still print colors without black.

Get numerous error messages and the scanner has never worked well.

The scanner works when it feels like working

The scanner failed first within the first 2 months

At 11 months, the scanner stopped working.

but when we did the scanner wouldn't worked.

This worked very well for two years then the scanner stopped working

Scanner was flaky from the start and now less than a year after having the printer it has stopped working

but all of a sudden copying and scanning just stopped working, saying "Scanner is busy..." and failing without giving any useful diagnostics

Also, the scanner does NOT work well for pencil on white paper; even after using the tools to adjust the contrast, it couldn't see a lot of the lines on the items I was scanning

It would be a great printer, if the scanner/copier bulb worked

Added bonus is that it has a scanner option as well.

I would highly recommend this printer/scanner to anyone in the market.

The scanner easy to use, but the software splits the scan sometimes but easy to work around.

I bought this printer august of last year and about a month ago the scanner just stopped working

Do not waste your time with this product or any HP products as they are just terrible

I cleaned everything as they recommended and still nothing.

However, right out of the box the printer was scratched up as if it was a refurbished model
