One thing to note, that the refills for this printer cost as much as the printer itself, but of course, you get many many more prints out of them, and the big advantage as well is you don't have issues with jets getting clogged, etc. if you don't use the printer frequently

i got a lot more mileage out of than initially posted), but the main caveat is that if you're going through a ream of paper a semester like i am printing color slides and the like, that essentially means a new set of HP410x toner cartridges every semester, which at a low price estimate (if you time it strategically on amazon) of ~155/cartridge x 4 ends up being a healthy $620 in toner each semester

Easy set up, small footprint, quiet operation, good print quality.

This is a great printer: very fast, relatively quiet, high quality printing.

That said, once you learn how to manage this printer the prints are incredible, and colors are vibrant and details cannot even begin to be matched by comparably priced laser printers.

The problem is that when I am printing some documents such as some pdf types the PCL 6 doesn’t seem to work, so I have to select the model specific driver if the print job fails.

Having a built in duplexer is invaluable as I prefer printing two sided to save paper and bulk

The M452DW is much faster, prints flawlessly, and took all of three minutes to unwrap, plug in and link wirelessly to my IMAC
