Since the majority of printing is done in black and white, the best thing is to make sure you set your defaults to gray scale to minimize color toner usage

This thing is FANTASTIC!I recently retired a very tired old HP4550 Laserjet after 14 years of incredible service and reluctantly bought this new M477FDN to replace it.

Other than that, this thing is perfect

Since both sides are scanned in one pass when using the ADF, the REALLY odd thing is that the printout will sometimes be crooked on one side of a 2-sided printout, and perfectly straight on the other.

Brother has something similar available, and I've heard good things about them.

Also the thing is just designed right, no nonsense popping up.

Thing I'm not liking is a distinct buzzing sound when it's idling

This thing is incredible!

but I can safely tell you that until you run out of ink this thing will put the biggest smile on your face and you'll never regret owning it.

The odd thing is that when you watch the documents enter and exit the feeder, they look like they go in and come out perfectly straight, without jamming, wrinkling or cocking at all.
