Broke down, ink cartridges cost as much as new printer and still not working.

Unfortunately, I must downgrade my review significantly because, several months after I bought and set up this printer, starting in the late summer of 2016, the printer started throwing nearly-continuous error messages alleging that the installed ink cartridges (which I had received from the HP Instant Ink Program and which had been specified to be the exact version required for this model of printer) were incompatible with the printer

My printer was delivered on time and the ink cartridges have been delivered as promised.

The small footprint, easy setup, and 2 ink cartridges are big plusses.

The "setup" cartridges that you get with the printer are actually quite small (the Instant Ink refill cartridges are full-size); the tri-color ink cartridge was depleted after less than 50 pages and the black cartridge will need replacing soon too, most likely

The only thing that I don't love about this all-in-one is that the ink cartridges seem kind of pricey.

When it was plugged in, it had an error message and the ink cartridges were missing.

It can be used for photo printing, but you will not get results as good as with an actual photo printer or higher resolution scanner.

The only way to print with this machine was to turn it off and on again, then print what I needed as fast as I could before it lost connection
