Bought this all-in-one printer because of its excellent early reviews and have so far found it to be a pretty good product at a pretty reasonable price

I should've paid more attention to the negative reviews on this product.

Right now it’s 27% negative reviews and that’s a fairly high amount

Spoiler alert: I just buy HP printers but my review is not biased in fact the device in question has an initial defect that can provoke lots of headaches during the setup process

(The thing that finally helped us trust this claim was reading more recent reviews from Instant Ink customers...the very old reviews had made us nervous, but the newer ones made it sound as though you were not a prisoner to Instant Ink.

I can guarantee that the vast majority of supposed "verified purchase/5-star" reviews are from people that HP has paid to buy the machines and write favorable reviews

Had to replace my Canon mx892 and the newer ones didn't have great reviews.
