Had to repeat myself and explain my issue multiple times

The amount of time it takes to do the initial set-up is time-consuming and confusing, because there are so many things they ask you to sign up for.

We got burned a few times by this unable to print because we ran out of one type of ink that we didn't even need for our print job

Every time it updates it also loses connection

More than half the time, it simply won't work.

Don't waste time or money with this junk.

I have an issue with it EVERY time I need to use any of the functions on here

Documents with images aren't quite as snappy, with noticeably slower but still reasonable print times.

There is absolutely no justification in not being able to print when a color cartridge is empty, besides, we only used color a few times for kids school work, but it quickly drained the cartridges.

This time, I bought the extended guarantee.

Received in good time.

The paper jams every other time we use it and now the paper is stuck in the printer in such a way that it is impossible to get out

This last time, troubleshooting won't fix the issue, supply delivery problem.

Often times the wifi has trouble and my computer cannot find the printer

Prints great one time, then doesn’t print until I remove and install (complete) then it might work.

Additionally, after 12 months (convenient timing) it started leaving a blank line every 1.5" from top to bottom of page.

Don't waste your time buying this printer!!!!

the set-up was easy , i had a stroke and things are hard for me some times

I’ve alway had good luck with HP but not this time.

I had to return this hp printer to get a new one and now after 2 months it broke again each time having to replace the ink because it will not work on another hp even with the same model

It loses connection all the time

I hope it lasts a good long time

I get paper jams all the time.

I had a problem several times of ink cartridges popping back out and the printer would not run.

I had an 8715 for 11 months and the paper started jamming every time I used it.

Drive back up, argue with the teenaged clerk until he gets his manager, finally exchange the ink for the right ones drive back home swearing you are going to be smarter next time and keep an extra set of cartridges but you never do

Not even worth my time to waste an afternoon with HP support.

Cons include the homely styling, slower print times on documents with images, and beefy size.

My last one NEVER had one problem and never failed one time to print.

Each time, the Customer Support person would trash everything the previous person had done and do something different to try to get this up and running.

But the constant disconnections, AirPrint that doesn't work, printing from a computer that doesn't work etc made me waste more time than any other printer I've ever had

Almost all the time, the first attempt at scanning a simple document fails because "the printer is not connected", or some such nonsense

I use this printer for my home office, and when I was not happy with this response, they escalated it to a case manager who kept trying to call me at odd times

I hope this last a good long time

And you are asked to redeem rewards each time you change the ink, but if you read the fine print, each time you "redeem a reward" (by the way you're not told what the reward is until you click) you are consenting to having your printer use (and likely ink purchases and habits) monitored

Then I got the error again -- 5 times.

The HP Officejet Pro 8710 is such a disappointment in comparison that I have a hard time liking it.

I rebooted my computer and tried a second time choosing the FULL install instead of basic and that worked
