The scan speeds are pretty good, and the automatic document feeder has not fouled on me so far in my testing and use doing single and double-sided scan jobs.
I like the speed and the fact that I can print on both sides of the page when needed.
Set up was very easy, wireless config painless, good print speed and the quality is great.
Speed to first print is important to me and this one is just fine.

I have used the HP Office Jet Pro 8600 for several years and it done a great job.

After reading all of the reviews on Amazon for this item (easy set-up, great for home office, great value, etc.), I decided to order the HP 8710 for my home office
We are both enjoying the ePRint feature where you can email from anywhere.
When I have to change paper size, it can't just "do" that, you have to mess around with your printer settings in the computer as well as on the equipment.
I like the feature it has of printing from the soft phone or tablet.
The feature to email an attachment to the printer is extremely convenient

Just like all other HP products I have ever owned, this is a great product.
And of course you are never told how much product is in each cartridge because consumers would likely revolt if we could easily do the price per ml math
Would definately not recommend this product, or the company standing behind it, because they are not.

Everyday printing has been excellent with good color rendition and very fast throughput

We got burned a few times by this unable to print because we ran out of one type of ink that we didn't even need for our print job
And you are asked to redeem rewards each time you change the ink, but if you read the fine print, each time you "redeem a reward" (by the way you're not told what the reward is until you click) you are consenting to having your printer use (and likely ink purchases and habits) monitored

I removed and reinstalled the "c" labeled cartridge 20 times .. kept throwing that error message BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX PRINTER USING SHIPPED SET UP INK and HAVE to use this ink because of a chip So frustrating
Ran out of ink, installed new cartridges, and got the same incompatible cartridge message
one that ink ran out and i put in 952 ink that i purchased I get the "incompatible cartridge" message once again
Just google "HP missing print head" and you will see some very frustrated customers that have had to replace print head after print head.
I highly recommend NOT buying from HP they have terrible customer service and their products (at least the ones I have purchased) are of poor quality.
HP will be losing a customer for buying printers, and an instant ink subscriber.
How about you just make a printer that doesn't blackmail/cyanmail/yellowmail your customer into buying ink cartridges they don't need?

They won't start printing again until you clear the ghost paper jam
Now it says it has a paper jam when there is no paper in it and the carriage is stuck
Our Brother printer, which we replaced with this one, worked far superior without any issues, other than the occasional paper jam

Works for a while, then the printer drops the connection to the network, and you have to reinstall all the drivers to get it to reconnect

Not easy to get up and running with the software and wireless connection - took about 3.5 hours.
You will spend far, far, FAR too many hours of your working day, wrestling with the connection of this printer to your network
