I selected the HP Envy 7155 printer on the app and it led me through the process of connecting the printer to my wifi, aligning the printer cartridges and updating the software
After trying 3 of the HP Envy Photo 7100 printers and hours on the phone with HP technical support...crap crap crap
After trying out the HP Envy Photo 7155 printer for a while, I've found a lot to like, and perhaps a few annoyances
I am very disappointed with the HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer
This is my second HP ENVY Photo 7155 as I sent the first one back because it did not work.
The moral is: if you interrupt the easy app based setup process, you may have to go through the slightly more complicated advanced set up process
The HP smart app is wonderfully easy to use and makes it simple to scan to email, print your photos, print facebook photos, print from google drive, scan to cloud, check your ink status, and more

Turn it on and it tells you to download the HP Smart app
Super easy set up and the mobile app is easy to navigate
This one does a great job on photos as well as all else.
Plus does a great job on vacation and family photos as well
The job it does with photos on plain paper is really a standout, which is why I am giving it a four star rating despite the negatives which I will call out in the rest of the review
printer for it to do a good job and consistent affordable printing

but it was such a pain to attempt to deal with HP Support, we opted to replace it after 6 months.
I would have expected them to offer a replacement OR help deal with HP Support.
I took a whack at calling HP support again today to see if they will send me "Setup" cartridges for that now unusable printer, so I could use it as a spare
I've spent 2 hours on the phone with HP support to be told to return the printer
I have, in the past, found HP Support to be quite lacking.
Fast forward and thought this would be both useful and able to replace the Epsom for the sporadic photo
n’t had one issue with it
This printer uses a ridiculous amount of ink and the photos aren't great
Based on past experience, don't put this in the corner and think it will be for the once a month gathering, or you will return to it and the printer will print nothing or print lousy photos and the head cleaning and other techniques will waste a ton of ink and never fix the problem.
This printer prints fantastic quality photos and documents
I have owned many HP products in the past and this is the first time I had a serious issue with them not being the least bit cooperative to do what would be considered proper and correct to fix the problem.
While I am out the cost of a printer, I've recovered a good bit of the cost from the non-Setup replacement cartridges which HP sent for the non-setup-able refurbished printer
After contacting tech support @ HP, and a little bit of arguing, they realize the printer does not print in legal size.
This allows you to print from an iOS or Andriod device whether it's a tablet or a phone, and you can do a good bit of management of the printer from it.
It only took about a minute to unbox, and another minute to have setup ready for installation.
Setup was a problem since I used a hard wired USB hookup to my PC
Colors are sharp and bright, pictures are good quality, setup is easy.
For home use on home network, setup was flawless, color prints are beautiful but only on HP paper( not on leftover Epson).Seems color cartridge going down fast while practicing, will try the XL cartridge
The newest version of this ships with 'Setup' cartridges that do not work.
This printer also supports mobile printing with iPhone, but I did not try that feature

printer for it to do a good job and consistent affordable printing
Apparently that was WRONG, since 5 minutes later it was printing perfectly from both my laptop and my phone
The printing is very good and if I get good service out of it then I will just have to deal with the unresponsive touchscreen.
For this 'benefit', the printers would lack speed, the ink would start to run not too long after use and perhaps it's
Error kept appearing on the screen, stating not original ink.
The ink should be much less expensive than my old printer
Call and complain and they’ll give you 7 months of free ink.
Ink is expensive, if you don't use them enough they dry up and leave you with a large device that would cost more to repair than it costs to buy the replacement
Please insert the black setup cartridge."AN hour later, after trying to HUNT DOWN the SECRET HP SUpport phone number, and tech support told me within 1 minute of reviewing the case that the product was a "hardware failure"
However, I could not recommend this product to anyone else due to their lack of
I don't like products that cost me this amount of time to implement.
Inconsistent Wi-fi connection to router only a few feet away
Its like driving a Model T after driving a Vet
Perhaps all of that could be forgiven if this machine worked better but unfortunately, it drops from the network frequently and then requires time consuming and uber annoying process to re-establish the entire connection rendering this less convenient, more expensive and overall entirely unsatisfying.
However, after a few minutes of being powered on, my home network disappeared and all of our devices lost connection
so I called up customer service, they said my router was no good, my cell phones for wireless printing were no good, the connections were no good
I have used the HP 6280 for years, sticking with it through paper jams etc over the years because of the stellar print and color quality when used with HP Premium Photo papers
During the set-up process I experienced a paper jam and upon opening the coverto deal with the jam, I discovered a broken part.
Being cautious users as we are, we do not feed this printer with multiple photo papers when we use thicker photo papers as we do not want paper jam
The tray is well designed and easily accommodates various paper sizes, but the doubling back concerns us - it seems like it may jam more easily - although to be fair we haven't yet had a paper jam after several weeks of use
