This is a relatively lightweight, small printer that fits well into my limited space and does a great job of general photo and paper printing once you get past the set up.
How is full size different from a sample sized cartridge in that range?Regardless, it does its primary job of printing photos well.

I do light printing of paper and photos and thought this would be a nice addition to my home office.
The ability to print either homework, documents, boarding passes, or lab quality photos right from our phones or tablets will make this printer a welcome addition to my family.
This is a nice addition, but the slot is located on the left bottom side of the printer–not the most convenient location
I also like the addition of the cd tray in the print output area so you can securely place one for label printing directly on the disc

The ink might be a little expensive, because it requires original Canon ink, but the quality of the print is so good that it's worthy, and using individual ink cartridges, one only needs to replace the empty one.
With the Canon Pixma TS8220, all my wishes came true: good quality, good value, and a good brand.
I'm less impressed when scanning photos to reprint, though the quality is good, it isn't pro level, which it doesn't pretend to be.
I printed a sewing pattern and my husband used the 2 sided feature and all were very good quality.
