Solidly build, relatively lightweight, with excellent quality copies

I have spent hours in the two short months that I have owned it trying to get it to print in color and then print a clean copy.

Produces better quality copies than my copier and printer at work!

It does exactly as advertised , excellent copies and is easy to set up

Well, once again I sit here and have spent hours doing everything I can to get this thing to print a usable copy

Great printer, easy setup with very useful WiFi features, especially emailing your document to the printer from a offsite location

Easy software setup but the WiFi always drops, even though it shows connected on the printer

HP offers some nice features like being able to email a document to the printer for automatic printing.

I tried reinstalling drivers, cleaning the printer, changing the ink etc. and nothing worked

Easy set up and is working great so far, does come with all color and black ink cartridges to start too!

this was easy to setup although it takes awhile.it works great to print from all of your devices

It was very easy to set up including the wifi and has worked flawlessly for the first month plus

I've cleaned print heads multiple times and now it is warning me its low on ink.....really!!!

I used the HP utility to clean print head as instructed with no improvement

The print came out discolored and faint as if It was out of ink even though all ink was fresh.

I have yet to find where you can tell it to clean the print heads or run maintenance

but it came to me in unusable condition with a bad printer head that could not be cleaned well enough for use.

If you think you can buy this printer (which is quite reasonably priced) and then buy some reasonably priced ink, think again.

While the gold price fluctuates, recycling gold plating would benefit the company while recovering valuable metal from cartridge and recycling purpose are better for the environment and looks good for the company's value

For me, not a big deal and for the price, not worth even taking a star off because ALL inkjet printers are this way.

Surprised with HP, even at this cheap price point it’s JUNK!

I can't comment on durability as I just got this and just plugged it up, but will say, really easy to install, cool options, easy to use, works great with Apple products (Mac, iPhone, iPad), and great price.

I have done all of the trouble shooting on it from HP support, still not

HP support is useless and their online answers basically amount to reinstalling the drivers

The attached picture shows how the fake HP support website looks like

I called HP support and they had me go through all the procedures for trying to fix

Contacted HP support and they told me I need to buy a new printer

I gave this 4 stars because only issue I have is tthe connection and the printer

Loses connection to computers OFTEN, printer heads clog OFTEN

Constant loosing connection.. spent hours on the phone with hp support.. seriously hours...same issue.. really disappointed!!

Setup of the HP (including wireless connection) was much easier than the Canon and the electronic menus for printing, scanning, and copying are much more intuitive

However, on a positive note, it does have a good scanner and pretty solid network connection.

I also recommend the HP InstantInk service as it makes it easy to keep yourself in good supply and it is cheaper overall than buying at the office products store.

About a month ago shortly after my year warranty expired the printer broke and would not print black ink

Decided to sign up for HP's "Instant Ink", 300 pages per month for $9.99, with first 3 months free - I can downgrade in month 3 to 100 PPM @ $4.99 PM, but I think 300 is probably closer to what we need with 3 students in the house

And during the past week, some kind of malfunction has caused the printer to swiftly spew out pages with bizarre symbols across the top edge that bear no resemblance to what I was trying to print

Really, you waste my time like that when what I have told you already tells you that the problem is with the hardware.

Time will tell how fast we go through ink and if the ink jets stay un-clogged, but so far - so good.

I had a hard time figuring out how to set up the printer, because the quick set-up sheet was all pictographs that I didn't understand, and I didn't have a child handy to interpret them.

I cleaned the heads several times and replace ink cartridges.

The ink cartridges deplete rapidly with or without use and are exceedingly costly.

However, photo quality is only okay, ink cartridges are *really expensive*, and after printing a light amount for about 8 months, it has suddenly stopped printing magenta.

The driver caused my wireless HP Officejet Pro x451dw to fail and since I gave up and handed it to her (some rotten husband I), she is wild with frustration (and she was a LAN manager for a large firm, very skilled) but the scanner driver has stepped on her Scanjet

Constantly gives you error messages: paper jams when it's not jammed, printer failure, turned it off incorrectly (with the power button?!) even after installing genuine HP printer cartridges.

Finally got the "printer failure" resolved for about two weeks and now back to the same "printer failure".

Finally, after this last printer failure, I am moving on to a new printer

At that point it failed with the same sequence of events others have described: a paper-jam message which was thoroughly checked, then a "printer failure" with error code (0x6100004a) and instructions to turn it off and back on, then failing to shut down when turned off (spinning circle for about 20 minutes), then pulling the plug, then turning it back on and getting a warning to shut it off with the power switch instead of pulling the plug

I wish it would stop popping up a nag message to sign up for HP's ink subscription, after every print, which I don't need, and stop reminding me that it was printing on silent mode.

The driver that got installed via the HP Printer website was all wrong.

Make sure you check if a printer is on HPs list of UNsupported, outdated drivers.

Be careful purchasing HP as the driver that came with the printer and the downloaded driver will not work with Windows 10

So the technician installed a new driver and for now it works.
