Reviews around size (5.00 of 5)

  • Set up is easy, print quality is good and system is a compact size
  • I like the size of this printer and the style is nice too.
  • We also like the compact size, and especially like that we don't have to empty our budget and spend upwards of $80 on ink replacement like we did with an HP printer
  • Compact size, very easy to set up and connect wirelessly from their laptops and ipads.
  • I was hopeful this would be a decent color printer and really like the compact size

Reviews around photo (4.65 of 5)

  • Once again, if you want seriously good B&W photos, you need a printer with a dedicated black photo cartridge and a separate gray cartridge.
  • With our previous printer we could print fairly decent photos.
  • That said, photos are good enough for casual pictures and portraits, but certainly not professional work.
  • Photos when printed on Brother photo paper look as good as professional lab photos.
  • It can print both sides of paper and it makes very good quality photos on photo paper.

Reviews around work (4.59 of 5)

  • If you do not need that feature the printer works great and has a small form factor.
  • Wireless integrated well, ink is reasonably priced, scanner worked well, and duplex printing was nice.
  • They have worked just as well as the original brother ones.
  • This printer works very well and not hard at all on the ink usage.
  • SD OR USB CARD PRINTING/SCANNINGIt's a little difficult working with the small 2.7" window, but at least this is bigger than past Brother printers

Reviews around setup (4.48 of 5)

  • Easy setup on home wifi, and adding to multiple computers was no problem
  • Amazing build quality, compact, beautiful, super easy setup.
  • It seems to use ink fast, even on the economy or fast setting but the setup was fast and easy
  • Easy setup, supports everything you would want and for the price does better than expected picture quality
  • Setup is strange

Reviews around price (4.45 of 5)

  • Now about average to low for oem cartridges (but still 10 x what after market cartridges cost, which says something).I am sometimes willing to put up with ridiculous pricing on ink, if it produces a truly superior product (and then I will reserve use for when that is needed).
  • Good price and the ink refills are affordable too, unlike other printer manufactures that charge an arm and a leg for ink
  • Price was reasonable for a printer that works well wirelessly with reasonable cost to replace ink
  • The pages do print much slower than expected though but the price of the printer and the ink more than makes up for that one negative.
  • We used the Canon because the price of ink was reasonable although the print quality was less than ideal.

Reviews around feature (4.12 of 5)

  • According to Brother, they do not offer this feature as it could damage the print head.
  • I do like the features of the printer which is why I give this two stars instead of one
  • It does have pretty good features, but these are pretty standard features now
  • Colors are muted and dull… as if the device was being stingy with the ink rather than there being an issue with the color of the ink.
  • What a great feature and very easy to setup.- Good print quality:

Reviews around color (4.08 of 5)

  • I'm still using the initial printer cartridges too (1 month of use) and it was cool to have a visual on the liquid ink level (instead of trusting the printer to tell you / waiting for poor color).
  • They're pretty washed out, even on the Vivid color setting
  • It should be noted that the utility asks you to identify which colors are spotty, which one would assume meant the cleaning cycle would only affect those.
  • I was hopeful this would be a decent color printer and really like the compact size
  • It's going back to Amazon and I will continue my search for a compact color printer.

Reviews around quality (3.94 of 5)

  • Can connect to it with an iPhone app, good quality, and it does print cardstock
  • The printer makes good quality prints and works well once set up
  • It can print both sides of paper and it makes very good quality photos on photo paper.
  • Easy to set up and provides good print quality in a compact little machine.
  • However, the Epson is not an all-in-one, which I think is what cheapens the quality of the Brother (and the HP Envy)

Reviews around brother (3.66 of 5)

  • The Brother has free support for the life of the printer
  • Sorry Brother, I thought I was getting one of the best printers in my price range.
  • At least you can buy generic ink instead of expensive Brother.
  • Of course Brother blamed it on the cable company and the cable company blamed it on the printer manufacturer.
  • I despise HP printers for using up so much ink but what Brother did was simply merciless

Reviews around product (3.48 of 5)

  • Brother is my preferred printer company, their products perform well, and are more reliable in my opinion than the other brands, although nothing is great
  • These products should be seamless at this point, not like this.
  • Easy set up a little slow printing, other then that great product.
  • I do not recommend this product the ink compartment door broke in a few months and when I contacted Square
  • Overall a reliable product that gets the job done, but in need of polish

Reviews around bite (2.23 of 5)

  • My only complaint is the drivers are a bit hard to track down on Brothers site, and the ink cartridges websites give a 404 error
  • I use the Google Cloud print a good bit from my Android phone and its great

Reviews around time (1.87 of 5)

  • The problem is that every time I have to print an envelope I will have to wiggle the printer forward and support it as it prints from the rear.
  • I'm only saying that I haven't tried it yet but because nothing ever tried has worked the first time
  • It jams almost every time and I have to make multiple attempts to get the rear feed to take the label paper at all
  • I suspect that is a factor for everyone, but in a household with an active student who is printing daily, I expect to be paying for this printer several times over, unless we replace it, which I may well do
  • This has typically been difficult with other printers, but it was easy this time

Reviews around paper jam (1.61 of 5)

  • But another one just cropped up: The printer stops and gives a paper jam warning, but there is no jammed paper
  • If the text were as crisp as on my Epson I would rate it 5stars as it does everything that printer does with a much smaller footprint (and weight)
  • If the text were as crisp as on my Epson I would rate it 5stars as it does everything that printer does with a much smaller footprint (and weight)
  • so WIFI installment was easy... printer works so predictably...paper jams
  • I've endured the intermittent "paper jam" message only to find no paper jam after 20 minutes or more of trying.

Reviews around google cloud (1.49 of 5)

  • I use the Google Cloud print a good bit from my Android phone and its great
  • The printer supports iCloud and Google Cloud print as well as the ability to print from and scan to most common web sources.
  • Google "brother google cloud print blurry" for more info
  • The con-this is not Google Cloud ready
  • It was supposed to be able to print from Chromebook using Google Cloud print!
