Once again, if you want seriously good B&W photos, you need a printer with a dedicated black photo cartridge and a separate gray cartridge.

Now about average to low for oem cartridges (but still 10 x what after market cartridges cost, which says something).I am sometimes willing to put up with ridiculous pricing on ink, if it produces a truly superior product (and then I will reserve use for when that is needed).

Good price and the ink refills are affordable too, unlike other printer manufactures that charge an arm and a leg for ink

I'm still using the initial printer cartridges too (1 month of use) and it was cool to have a visual on the liquid ink level (instead of trusting the printer to tell you / waiting for poor color).

The problem is that every time I have to print an envelope I will have to wiggle the printer forward and support it as it prints from the rear.
