Makes "hard wiring" redundant, replacing it effortlessly with a reliable wireless connection, given the fact that my router is on the third floor and this unit in the den at the basement level

You chose either a hard wired network (my preferred for a number of reasons) or wireless which I did not try, but not both at the same time

However, it is now working properly although I decided to hard wire it rather than go wireless.

finally gave up and bought a USB cable to hard wire into it.

I do not have this hard wired into USB at this point, so perhaps things would be different at that point, but I am being hopeful here

Setup was super easy, but I have it hard wired

plugged into my network with a hard wired cable, used HP Smart software (already installed on computer) and it set it up with no problems

I love the speedy printouts & sharp looking prints in color or b&w!
