Other than updating drivers, which should be done for any new piece of hardware, there is no software required to use its features, which include options for lighting, a gaming mode which disables the Windows Home Key, the bane of my gaming existence, and various tools for customization and sound, right on the keyboard itself

Which switch you'll like is extremely subjective, and certainly all of them can be used for both typing and gaming just fine - it's more just a matter of comfort

After a bunch of research, I decided on the HyperX Alloy Elite Mechanical Gaming for its price and for the high regard I have for Kingston products.

My son says one of the worst things in intense gaming is when you suddenly are in windows by pushing that key by mistake

Really rivals the corsair k95 platinum as the best gaming keyboard, although if you have a need for dedicated macros then that might be a better option

Wasn't sure I would like going from a light key, cherry mx red (45g Actuation Force) to the lil heavier mx blue (60g Actuation Force) but its fine

I previously had a corsair k70 then a logitech g pro (great keyboard too) then when I saw this come out in a cherry blue option I had to have it
