The gain meter on the side doesn't work consistently either, it's either too low or too high and has a lot of static or no sound recording at all

Good portable recording

Only used it a couple of times so far but seems to help a lot with getting good quality recording for IG posts of my music

two of our guys (from 5 man podcast) take their iphones and two of these with headset style dynamic mics and record in some pretty noisy situations.

I can't get a decent recording fom this device

The recording is clearer than using just the device itself

After increasing the gain almost +20db, the signal increased to a still less than acceptable level, and the noise floor increased to a massive enough degree it would render any recording very very poor

Good recording level and clean signal.
