Currently I cannot even turn the monitor on, and I suspect a bad battery

The battery also failed around that same 1 year mark and we had to buy a replacement battery.

I reached out to customer service about battery issues after about a year of use and they recommended taking out the battery every so often and that helps for a very short period of time but the battery is overall unreliable

However, the battery itself still feels a bit loose and sometimes the video cuts out (but that could be because of the location of the rooms in my home).

Like that screen shuts off at night and great battery life.

For about the last six months, the battery dies instantly if it's not plugged in, so it has to be plugged in at all times (significantly reducing its portability)

I like that this is a dedicated baby monitor which means I don't have to use my phone, drain its battery, and not be able to use my phone for anything else other than the camera

We also love that it isn't over wifi and has a separate monitor so its private and doesn't kill our cell battery!

After about 1 year the battery on the monitor is basically useless

The best part, they sell replacement parts for it, so I replaced the battery and the power cord, so good as almost new!!!I highly recommend this baby monitor for durability, picture and sound quality, and toddler endurance!!!

My husband figured out that the tiny little adapter on the battery keeps popping out so when that happens it doesn't charge the battery but still works if you have it plugged in

I think these batteries are just not good and don't hold a charge.

I cannot even count the times I’ve had an issue (battery life, camera losing sound, etc) where they responded quickly and gave me some exchange or item free or discount LONG after the clearly dated warranty.

This camera had everything we needed: a good screen size, long range, long lasting battery and good picture quality

It has great battery life, amazing features, clear night vision, a thermometer and great reception at long distances

The battery life so far so good, you can rotate the camera, the night vision is amazing, the volume is great, it gives the option for zoom x1 and x2 or if you like you can change the lens for zoom that its includes on the package

I’m very disappointed that my rechargeable battery only last a year as well

The battery seems to last a long time, and it works the next day even if we forget to plug it in overnight.

I happen to share with them the issue of our battery in conversation and they sent us a NEW battery as well!

I would have rated this product 5 stars but the battery is loose

I’m replacing my 10 year old Summer Infant monitor and the DCR-8 picture is very clear with amazing battery

Also, battery for monitor last thru all night and night vision is a great

The battery also drains even when the monitor is turned off so it must remain on the charging cord even when turned off and not in use or else it won’t be charged when you need it
