If this unit would only work 80% of the time, it would probably be one of my favorite Blu-Ray players, but sadly, in its first weeks of life, it is below 50% on reliability

is a great bluray player, despite what the other reviewers have said, and I would DEFINITELY recommend it, especially if you can deal with buying an older model (considering I've had mine for 2 years now).

You get what you pay for, and I got a cheap, fussy blu ray player that worked for 18 months then threw up all over itself.

However, given the low price and nice region change feature, that more than makes up for any inferior AV comparison to more fancier and more expensive Blu-ray players which cannot be made region free without a hardware modification.
