6700 is a great cpu no question but 7700 is new and little bit more improved so its better

Probably should've done better research, only fully supported by Windows 10, put this in other build with windows 8, things were a bit rough for a while, but after the update things are working wonderfully

I reapplied the paste 3 times thinking I must have messed up, but it just idles a bit higher than you might expect (~35c for me at first, after some burn-in more around ~32c)

If you're needing an upgrade and are a bit too impatient to wait for the new AMD Ryzen (which is supposed to be as fast as the I7 6800k) get this or the 6700k if you wanna save a few bucks

The temperature can get a bit crazy when running 100% at 5.252 GHz, but that was to be expected, especially with a 25% OC

Little bit overpriced.

Much needed upgrade from the intel i5 4690K CPU as it was lagging a bit and couldn't handle a simple stream from OBS until I made the upgrade with the MSI Z270 motherboard and the boot up is faster than the old one.

Staying cool at 39 idle 45 loaded with a v8 gts cooler and T T core x9 air cooled case.
