This chip runs very well at stock, and is easily overclocked up to 5.0Ghz on adequate cooling solution.
-
Pretty awesome little chip, i jumped from the amd fx series to this monster
-
Intel makes great quality CPU chips and you can't go wrong buying this top speed processor!
-
I've been able to successfully overclock the chip to 4.9 GHZ while custom water-cooling it
-
Great chip - the only caveat (which I didn't realize with Kaby Lakes) is that it is only compatible with Windows 10 (can't use the 'ol Windows 7)
-
This chip will not work unless you do so
-
This is still a superb chip, but limited in some ways (single core speed NOT being one of them!)
-
i would definitely recommend this chip for a gamer that wants all the fps possible.
-
This is still a superb chip, but limited in some ways (single core speed NOT being one of them!)
-
I am sure the chip is great, and we'll see if when it is replaced (all the other pieces are a sunk
-
I got an open box with an incorrect chip as it in
-
This chip overclocks like a monster you can easily hit 4.9-5.2 Ghz
-
Its worth $250 maybe, get a Ryzen 7 chip
-
The i7 7700K is the best Gaming CPU out right now, i love this chip.
-
This chip doesn't even break a sweat at this speed
-
Great chip.
-
Delid it now running 5.2 GHz at 1.375V and after a day of gaming the max temp was 58C. Great chip, but Intel should have charged an extra $10 and not used crappy thermal compound between the chip and the heat spreader
-
Powerful chip.
-
The fact that this chip stays as cool as it does is impressive and also speaks well concerning the performance of the 212 EVO cooler
-
I'd say just get the i5 7600k for gaming and a cooler chip overall.
-
excellent chip, runs a little on the hot side
-
I ran an i5 7600k on the same rig and this chip runs 10c hotter at load, on same cooling, but does provide smoother frames as I expected vs the i5.
-
This chip runs really hot.
-
The best chip for gaming, editing, and live streaming for the price
-
I know people have complained that this chip can run hot, but under normal usage without heavy overclocking, it stays cool and does just fine
-
Chip is great but the TIM that intel used is utter garbage
-
It's possible I received a defective chip, hopefully I can get in touch with Intel and they will send me a new one
-
Mine idles around 33 C but merely opening a program makes the temps skyrocket into 60s
-
I was able to overclock it to 4.9GHz @ 1.35v with temperatures between 55°C - 60°C while gaming (not stress testing)
-
it runs in the low 40s C at idle and in the mid 70s c when stressed
-
is always at 70-75 C if i'm stress testing and 31 C at ideal with a constant VoltIf i enabled Adaptive voltage from My Asus Maximus formula the temp goes down to 25 CA great processor with a great Overclocking potential
-
I was nervous about the reports of high temperatures but after two months it has never broken 63 °C
-
While idling I periodically would see vastly different temperatures on each core
-
Thanks to watercooling, the hottest I can get this thing is
-
Not the fastest I own, but very close
