From researching online it seems that this is how this CPU normally operates and the only solution is to delid the CPU and replace intel's crappy thermal solution with aftermarket ones voiding your warranty

Still haven't upgraded my cooling solution because there really isn't a need (corsair h55 liquid cooler)

I have a high end cooling solution and I would expect it to run a bit cooler

Your results may vary depending on your cooling solution

Even with a proper cooling solution that should cool the CPU I'm still seeing temps on load above 70c

This chip runs very well at stock, and is easily overclocked up to 5.0Ghz on adequate cooling solution.

One thing to note with this particular CPU is if you overclock, be prepared to have a pretty decent cooling solution for the CPU.

They run a little on the hotter side but with a proper 3rd party cooling solution it's no problem
