• Reviews around core (4.47 of 5)

Intel Core i7-8700 Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6 GHz LGA 1151 300 Series 95W

    • all cores can boost to 4.4 ghz on
    • single core boost up to 4.5
    • I guess I haven't had a task that the processor thought should be run on one fast core instead of several reasonably quick cores
    • Fast 6 cores 12 threads
    • A really good price on a solid 6 core 12 thread processor.
    • When all twelve logical cores are busy, it turbo boosts to 4.29 gigahertz
    • Single core performance is amazing, and I've got 12 logical cores now
    • I own a 7700K as well and this thing is noticeably faster and with the higher core count its no wonder
    • Extremely nice 6 core
    • Very fast 6 cores 12 threads.46c high while playing PUBG ultra settings
    • Great 6 core performance for a bargain price: kicked behind on the 3d mark test
    • 6 Core / 12 thread + good single core performance + greatness
    • Awesome 6 core cpu, easily OC'd to 5ghz at 1.35v.
    • I do like the additional cores which helps with mining
    • like the 7th gen chips, the VT-d and IOMMU technology means i can run linux as my OS and still play games natively, the turbo boost means i dont have to turn my overclock off when im just doing basic work, 6 cores means i can pin multiple cores to my windows VM and it feels just as responsive as a 4 core box, the common simple physical design makes relidding a breeze and compatibility a non-issue.
    • I liked seeing all twelve graphs of the logical cores in Task Manager at rest most of the time
    • 6 cores for under $400 is not bad at all
    • Nothing beats this, the competition can have more cores but those cores are way slower and less efficient
    • Finally, more than 4 cores in an Intel chip, thanks AMD
    • The box looked like it was not new, a little smashed, however, the core itself is working nice.
    • ... 5 cores is the sweet
    • Good single core performance
