Intex Challenger Kayak Inflatable Set with Aluminum Oars

    • Add a moving tide, and you'll definitely need a "better" paddle so you are "navigating" instead of fighting for control
    • The longer paddle feels perfect
    • Nice paddles held up to hard paddling
    • It's comfy enough an afternoon-long paddle and is really easy to blow up and deflate
    • I was either paddling hard to move or sitting there enjoying the scenery; there was no in between of leisurely paddling and coasting
    • I enjoyed leisurely paddling around a lake
    • The paddles that are included aren’t excellent but work fine
    • The paddles that are included aren’t excellent but work fine
    • We both miss structured foot rests but the price is right for the quick set-up/breakdown (seriously, 8 minutes tops to inflate/deflate and load in the water/car).Husband is still working toward the right seating arrangement in the double to support his back while paddling (he needs more structure and has rigged something with a seat from the sit-on-top kayak in addition to the inflated one that comes with the kayak) and he might need a longer paddle to facilitate paddling from a sit-inside arrangement
    • The paddle is adjustable & fits right
    • It appeared very sturdy and I felt quite safe paddling around by myself
    • The paddle was nice and despite my flailing (because that was my first time), I was able to maneuver it pretty decently - especially considering a storm started and the wind picked up like crazy as we paddled our way back to shore
    • Coupled with the issue of having to twist my knees and ankles as described above, the lack of foot rests made paddling uncomfortable and impossible to maintain good posture/form/technique
    • Lack of Foot SupportThere is absolutely no place for your feet to find a firm place for proper paddling and to keep the knees bent slightly
    • I did buy a different paddle for $25 bucks off amazon and glad I did.
    • You may want to consider a better quality paddle once you have used it a few times.
    • We found it difficult for us to not clash paddles as well
    • that is, unlike a solid kayak, it may not provide a place to rest your foot so that it is pressing against something, which is part of good paddling technique
    • The paddle is light and works well for me
    • The seat is comfortable and the paddle is sturdy too
    • Nice paddles held up to hard paddling
    • I will eventually replace the paddle (I just bought paddle grips because the paddle is cheap and causes blisters)
    • I think maybe getting a better paddle would be best, but not the most necessary
    • Great paddle and pump
    • It still has the normal Intex drawbacks: it fishtails a bit, the included seats are not great, and the paddle is cheap, but the boat itself is durable, stable, and easy to manuver in calm water.
    • Nice little kayak and paddle for the price
    • My only complaint is that it seems like the paddle should be about 8 to 10 inches longer, to make less awkward strokes.
    • The paddle isn't bad
    • It tracks well and the included paddle was sufficient
    • I found that I liked to place my legs on top of the boat to get some air, and paddling was just as easy this way
    • To be clear, this is gentle paddling down a slow-moving river
    • It's good for a lazy paddle.
    • I purchased a better paddle as the one it comes with is a little flimsy....but I love that it can be broken down and stored
    • I would spend money on better paddles.
    • We’ve used them on the lake, as well as for a lazy float down the river.
    • when I went to inflate the kayaks, one of the pumps immediately broke as I was airing it up
