Intex Excursion Pro Kayak, Professional Series Inflatable Fishing Kayak

    • This kayak feels very durable!Super steady and very easy for novices, like me, to get out and enjoy the water
    • Taking a new boat out for the first time in rough water is a recipe for disaster.
    • If you're going to be in any type of rough water, I recommend finding a self bailing model.
    • My husband noticed one side seemed a little soft upon his return but we chalked it up to cold water or user
    • Bought this for my parents who live in the Colorado mountains (read:extremely cold water even in August so getting splashed regularly or falling in would be a pretty brutal experience) and they love it
    • After I used this 3 times, in gentle water, no rocks, a valve is broken and the kayak deflates on one side
    • it’s definitely not a pool inflatable - and have taken it out in low and high tides, using the shallow and deep water skegs
    • We rinse with fresh water and set up to dry on my hammock stand once we get home to ensure it's dried properly before it goes into the storage bag for next time
    • We use this on calm water, all lakes
    • I will just have to make sure I am not traveling through really shallow water.
    • Better to go during tide change when the water is more calm
    • I took it down the Arkansas river through Salida CO with low river flow, and the smallest of rapids causes water to splash into the kayak and there's no easy way to get it out.
    • I use the shallow water skeg.
    • Two skegs for shallow and deep water is a nice touch
    • This kayak only works well on calm water, it felt like it's gonna flip over on water with just a little bit of wave and wind.
    • There is a larger deep water skeg that helps with tracking and it's nice to have two sizes to choose from depending on what type of water depths or obstacles you will be paddling in.
    • If you pump it up on hot asphalt, the air will shrink in cold water and you will want to top it off with air part way downstream
    • At the end of the day, it only took about 20 minutes to tear down, and that included a fresh water rinse
    • My unscientific guess - it’s been really hot, and if you’re pumping in hot air, then put it in slightly colder water, then what you thought was a full inflation contracts due to the cold hitting the bottom of the boat.
    • We have not been in rough water or gone over rocks etc
    • I live in a 1-bedroom apartment, so this is the perfect option to enjoy the water
    • We have iutilized the Intex K2 on fresh and salt waters, on rivers, lakes & reservoirs
    • No reason to bust it out until the water got warm, and by then...no warranty.
    • We used the shallow water skeg and it was blowing about 5 knots.
    • Have not tried in rougher water.
    • The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized)
    • On my way back the wind kicked up and it handled the rougher water very well too
    • It does sit low in the water which can make it tough in shallow water.
    • The paddles are flexible and will not help push you off rocks or out of shallow water.
    • Easy to inflate, cut through very choppy lake water much easier than the hard kayaks, and were incredibly stable
    • On my way back the wind kicked up and it handled the rougher water very well too
    • Once in the water it's surprisingly stable and easy yo get around in
    • Quality problems in manufacturing?I did the spray bottle with soapy warm water thing to try and find the leak - and couldn't
    • Will have to drain or bail often in rough water.
    • The kayak tracks well with the deep skeg in calm waters and light winds, and I find it fairly comfortable with the inflatable seats and foot rests, at least for a couple of hours of moderate paddling on a nearby protected lake
    • Purchased this for our family and have been very happy with it after a few trips on both calm and choppier water
    • Best way to have fun in calm waters...
    • I would be careful in very shallow water near oysters or rocks because of the material
    • When it's heavily loaded up weighed down like in my attached photos it doesn't track well with the shallow water skeg
    • We plan on using this kayak as it is mainly intended, i.e. on calm water lakes and rivers, will store it indoors folded in its storage bag when not in use, and will probably take it out about 6 times a year
    • Speaking of patching, I tore a 10" long gash in the bottom going down a river with too little water in it (my fault).
    • I bottomed out a few times in shallow water with little concern at all
    • Quality problems in manufacturing?I did the spray bottle with soapy warm water thing to try and find the leak - and couldn't
    • I bought this last year, I took it out onto calm flat water lake about 10 times
    • It's just as close to perfect as I can imagine
    • The booster cushion (my girl used it) was very comfy, but she had small issues with her seat backrest not being as supportive as without the added cushion
    • Turned around and paddled as fast as I could to get back to the dock.
    • I inflate the bottom cushion, but I would recommend not pushing the valve into the pad as it's hard to pull back out.
    • There is a solid area behind the rear seat, as well as in the front, and y pi u can easily fit a dry bag in both areas
    • n’t feel like you will sink or flip over
    • Because of how many pieces it breaks down into, the paddle feels a little more flimsy than my Emotion 12t kayak paddles which breakdown into two pieces, but it got the job done during my 3 mile paddle
    • n’t lose air
