ION Audio Max LP – Three Speed Vinyl Conversion Turntable with Stereo Speakers, USB Output to Convert Vinyl Records to Digital Files and Standard RCA & Headphone Outputs – Natural Wood Finish

    • The external speaker I use is from JBL I think, but even my girlfriend's cheap iHome speaker (a dinky portable thing) sounds better than the built in sound
    • One speaker broke in a matter of months.
    • We added stereo speakers since this has the limited though historically accurate turntable sound
    • The speakers on the unit are surprisingly clear, with nice volume
    • My only complaint is that the speakers are a little bit weak
    • It looks gorgeous and the speakers are pretty loud
    • the speakers are built in, and my husband loved it!!
    • The speakers are adequate (also much better sounding than those on the next-cheaper price point)
    • looks very cool, the speakers are plenty loud, and the conversion software works well
    • Crackles and distorts in right speaker
    • I had also ordered some cheap speakers, which haven't come yet, but I don't think I need them.
    • I have heard other tables with built in speakers that sound tinny and a little garbled, but the speakers on this table are decent speakers.
    • The amp simply isn't powerful enough to power any decent speaker and even with powered speakers, the sound is very lacking.
    • The speakers on the player aren't the greatest (tinny and like playing music from your laptop speakers or cheap radio), but when I put my headphones in, I was blown away by how fantastic it sounds.
    • Works well, speakers aren't
    • The integrated speakers are cheap; you're better off spending $10 on some cheap external speakers and plugging those in
    • Only 1 speaker partially worked
    • Reading some of the negative reviews on here, like the speakers are tinny, it skips, it only plays on one speaker, it broke after 2 months, etc
    • Looks great, speakers are pretty good for being built in
    • love love love it, it is everything I was looking for and plays great the speakers are just enough
    • Table is easy to use but speakers are not very loud
    • You can connect external speakers as well, and it sounds nice
    • We recommend external speakers
    • The small speakers sound surprisingly good and its easy to connect to a surround system if desired
    • My main goal was to purchase a nice, stylish turntable that I could connect to my good speakers
    • Although we gave it connected to our external speakers, the player’s own speaker is good.
    • The little speakers sound pretty good
    • Reasonable price, good quality, good speakers, haven't tried USB record.
    • The speakers are garbage, they lack any depth or rich tones, so it results in this awful flat sound
    • With a dented and broken left speaker (that hums, and doesn't play music)4
    • Worked as advertised, much better connected to stereo system, included speakers are not worth listening to.
    • more powerful amp/speakers will definitely provide better quality sound
    • looks very cool, the speakers are plenty loud, and the conversion software works well
    • speakers work well, and awesome price for a newbie like me!
    • The little speakers are terrible, sounds like my 70’s am/fm portable pocket radio!
    • The speakers are much louder than expected, even though we hooked it up sound system.
    • The inbuilt speakers and/or the volume control do not work.
    • You can listen to your records on the included turntable speakers, which aren't bad, or via good speakers, or via your computer speakers, your choice or all three at once.
    • Almost any speaker is better than the ones built in
    • Gave it 4 stars because the speakers aren't really good, but since you can attach your own speakers its less important!
    • But the speakers really do suck
    • The speakers were surprisingly loud and clear.
    • The speakers are not bad, but definitely I would hook the turntable to some self-powered speakers
    • It has a nice wood surface and speakers on either side.
    • The speakers stopped working
    • It's well made, does what it should, but, the quality of sound is not good, its over 25 years since I listened to vinyl records, but, it was on a really good system with amazing speakers, and apparently my ears remember, as I cannot get past the cheap tinny sound of these speakers
    • Maybe this turntable would be better with nicer speakers but that defeats a lot of the selling factor.
    • (I thought that if the speakers were horrible, then I'd have to purchase new speakers anyway, so why not buy an Audio Technica?
    • The poor speaker quality does not affect the quality of the MP3 sound, so don't worry about that!Build quality is somewhere in the middle of our modern spectrum
    • Its speakers sound good
    • Personally I invested in cheap speakers and got audio technica lp60
    • The speakers on the player aren't the greatest (tinny and like playing music from your laptop speakers or cheap radio), but when I put my headphones in, I was blown away by how fantastic it sounds.
    • When I read these review I thought it was going to be bad quality speakers, but it was the opposite.
    • I'm definitely looking into better speakers
    • As for the sound, the two speakers are nice and sound good where I use my player: in a small/medium bedroom
    • Nonetheless, it won't hurt your vinyl and the tiny little speakers that come with it are actually decent to listen through if you're an insomniac like me and don't want to wake the house.
    • We LOVED the way this look and liked the idea of built in speakers, but when it arrived we noticed that one speaker was working.
    • I was making myself pretty crazy researching what to buy, what to build, how much to spend (with limited funds), speakers, receivers, blah blah blah
    • The speakers are actually pretty good but the best part is it has an Aux port so you can plug in a more expensive speaker to it to increase the quality even more
    • I was very surprised at how loud the speakers can go, I was expecting to have to buy external speakers (which we might eventually because we are for sure hooked....), but it is actually perfect for our 2 bedroom apartment
    • The speakers are small, but surprisingly loud
    • speakers are good and you can plug an aux cord in to play music off your phone as well as the records
    • The speakers are not the greatest, but they are OK
    • The speakers are actually pretty good but the best part is it has an Aux port so you can plug in a more expensive speaker to it to increase the quality even more
    • The speakers go so loud you actually have to turn it down
    • Great for the price, looks good, the speakers aren't anything to write home about (and I'm not a speaker snob) but it isn't anything I didn't expect for the cost
    • And the speakers did not sound good at all
    • And with a pair of decent speakers I can make this thing sound like that one
    • The sound is great, not loud, but that's what the AUX cord is for to hook into louder speakers
    • Great price for something so well made and great quality speakers
    • The first one we received was defective, only one speaker worked as did only one channel on the headphone output
    • A speaker is partially out , I need to flick the speaker for it to work, I am going to have to rewire it .
    • This, paired with the poor speaker quality, is what knocked off the fifth star for me
    • I am happy it is now working as it should, but it didn't come without a ton of frustration
    • J&R's, where are you? This is an outrage
