We had to "roomba-proof" some rooms before it would work without any interaction on our part.

The system could keep a single room clean without problems, or probably more without pets, but for me, it fills up too fast for automation or scheduled cleanings

It frequently misses several rooms of the house, areas that aren't blocked by doors or any other

Doesn't seem to finish cleaning an entire room before moving onto the next one.

I did a test of putting her on one side of the great room while I swept the other side (all hardwood), and she was still cleaning one corner when I finished the entire rest of the room.

This Roomba lacks the sensors to properly map your rooms, and to rationally, methodically clean them

so I clean the living room, kitchen and dining area first, then after it recharges I clean the bedrooms and bathroom.

It cleans that room while I move to another room.

Spend the extra money and get a model that can map out the room and not waste time

As others have commented it does sometimes run on a seemingly random pattern but still manages to clean the whole room

if they are in a room with the throw rugs they will ball up when Roomba tries to go across them and not be able to get off them, it also is so good at cleaning a room that it even goes behind

It does not vacuum they way you would vacuum your home and uses odd patters to clean the room

Roomba is run for an hr, room wise everyday

This means that Roomba 690 wastes a lot of time in cleaning even a single room

We run it everyday, sometimes more if we want a specific room cleaned

Unfortunately that does not solve the problem of cleaning the living room carpet.

It runs purely off an algorithm, so it's not the most efficient at cleaning a room

The pattern is not consistent and it seems to just wonder room to room.
