Awesome vacuum

You have to give iRobot credit for releasing an affordable robotic vacuum, considering that many go for up to $800 or more.

It can also mean double taping thin bathroom rugs to the floor to prevent them getting sucked up the vacuum , organizing cables & wires etc.3

It is a real time saver and cleans efficiently and effectively as a traditional vacuum!

As a bonus, even the cats -- who HATE all vacuums -- kind of like this thing

Vacuum works great till it gets to a rug; leaves clumps of dog hair

While Derf is not as loud as our Dyson vacuum, he's not totally quiet either

But, this powerful vacuum is useless

At the end of the day, it is subjective of whether you care about battery power, better suction capability, whether you want a remote and how smart your robotic vacuum to be

iRobot has made a solid and affordable robotic vacuum with the 890 but really, the 980 has more power for better suction, better battery time and offers better cleaning via the iAdapt 2.0 Navigation with Visual Localization which this device does not have.

Before this Roomba, I had a Neato vacuum for three years and loved, but after a year in storage, it didn't work

Very strong vacuum force,identifies when its going in hardfloors and carpets, it can be scheduled weekly and can be started from de App

(how many people expect a vacuum to be quiet?).

I love this vacuum cleaner.

Pros:- using the App to schedule daily cleanings is a breeze- dust bin holds a surprising amount of debris-navigation works well- leaves beautiful vacuum lines- quiet enough that we can run it downstairs while baby napsWe have been using this Roomba for about 6 months.

A regular vacuum makes more noise, I can still watch tv without being bothered by it.

This robotic vacuum gives you the basics and it does a great job vacuuming debris despite having only one single brush.

This is an expensive vacuum, but if you can afford this I would recommend this for all of your in between and light vacuuming, and if you run this once a day that may be the only vacuuming you may need

But overall, the iRobot Roomba 890 is a solid robot vacuum for its price.

There is a step-down from my dining room to the living room and every time the Roomba came near that drop off, without fail, the vacuum avoided falling down into the living room

Aside from the black floor problem, it is a great robot vacuum, that will work for most houses

I prefer multi-room, recharge and resume robotic vacuums as well.

Vacuum isn't quiet but about what you'd expect from a small vacuum

The vacuum and rollers are very powerful - it inhaled most of a T-shirt before finally declaring an emergency

While the Dyson is not perfect, it is by far a much better automatic vacuum system.

While the pricier vacuums have memory recognition that you can train it to not go past a certain point, it's great to have this wall barrier included.-

She is a vacuum fanatic - by necessity - as she lives in the country, in a very dusty and muddy part of Montana

Great suction and cleans just as good as a hand held vacuum

Overall, this is a pretty good remote vacuum, however I don't have the floor plan to utilize it to it's full capabilities.

I used to see nice vacuum lines on the floor now its all random by this blind unit

This item is more of a novelty more than an actual vacuum cleaner

previously unreachable dirt- HEPA style filter means it picks up more fine dirt that even our more powerful Shark navigator upright vacuum misses

Since this little gem gets under all the furnature it gets stuff I simply can't reach with a normal vacuum cleaner

So vacuuming is literally a chore and a half....which I despise but have no choice

There is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to the path/pattern this vacuum takes to clean

It's also kind-of noisy, but much less so than a standard vacuum cleaner

I owned that vacuum for about 8 months before it died.

It is not obnoxiously loud like a vacuum cleaner.

After figuring out that my Wi-Fi was actually off, connecting the vacuum was a breeze.

Not impressed, I would rather get my vacuum out and clean the entire house in an hour than mess with Roomba.

It's not like most other vacuums that have the typical short twisted bristle brush that has to be cleaned every so often, as long hair and strings get wrapped up in it.

I do prefer having to use a remote versus a basic app because no matter what, robotic vacuums are not perfect and you want the ability to control the robotic vacuum to pick up areas that it may have missed.

The vacuum was good the first couple months

This is NOT a replacement for a standard vacuum cleaner, but it does two things for us: 1) Gets us into a habit of keeping the floors cable/toy/other junk free and 2) vacuums every single day which no one can do :)
